Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Painter: You will be responsible for Surface Preparation, choosing materials, application techniques, detailing and finishing, and cleanup & disposal. The work will involve cleaning walls, ceilings, or other surfaces, scraping off old paint, sanding rough areas, filling cracks or holes with putty or filler, applying primer to ensure paint adheres properly. Selecting the right type of paint (e.g. emulsion, enamel, oil-based, water-based). Picking finishes like matte, satin, gloss, or textured. Choosing brushes, rollers, or spray equipment depending on the job. Brushing, rolling, spraying and applying multiple coats for durability and even coverage. Touching up edges and corners, removing tape and cleaning up spills, inspecting for streaks, bubbles, or uneven patches, final polishing or protective coating if needed. Cleaning brushes and tools, safely disposing of leftover paint and materials, ventilating the area to remove fumes.

Requirements:

– Must be prepared to obtain Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certificate

– 6 months of experience as a painter is preferred.

– You must be authorised to work in Ireland and have a PPS number.

Job Type: Full-time – 39 hours per week minimum.

Salary: Top rate of pay for the right candidate, starting from €36,700 per annum. (€705.77 per week / €18.10 per hour)

Location: Handy Lads Solutions Limited, Unit 5, Bridgeway Business Park, Athlone Road, Longford, Co Longford, N39 P8K8. ( You will be working on the projects at different locations in Ireland.)
